Claims Procedures

SUBMITTING A CLAIM

  • Notify QUICKSURE (or your broker) of the loss as soon as reasonably possible of any event that may give rise to a claim.
  • Claims can be reported to our claims department by yourself or your broker by emailing newclaims@quicksure.co.za .
  • Claims must be submitted within 30 days of the event.
  • Claims arising from theft, any criminal act, accidents or where persons are injured must be reported to the SAPS within 24 hours.
  • Do not make any admission, statement, offer, promise or payment without our written permission.

 

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS IN THE EVENT OF A CLAIM

  • Copy of the ID document and driver’s license of the driver, as well as the first date of issue of the driver’s license.
  • A quotation for the repair of damage.
  • Copy of vehicle registration certificate.
  • The SAPS case number and the name of the police station where reported.
  • If another vehicle was involved, we will require the vehicle details (registration number, make, and model), the contact details of the driver (name, telephone numbers), and his/her insurance details.
  • If property other than vehicles was involved, we will require the name and address of the owner, as well as details of the damage.
  • If there were any personal injuries, resulting from the motor accident (other than to you and members of your family), we will require the name of the injured person, their relationship to the accident (passenger, driver, pedestrian), details of their injuries and the name of the hospital where they were treated.

  • Copy of ID document and driver’s license.
  • Copy of vehicle registration certificate.
  • The SAPS case number and the name of the police station where reported.
  • Original Natis document and Keys of the vehicle.
  • Spare keys.
  • If financed – a letter from the bank in respect of the settlement figure.
  • Proof of vehicle security (e.g., Immobiliser/Tracking Device).
  • Please note that should you fax or email the documents to us; we will still require the original documentation before a claim can be finalised.

  • No Claim Letter
  • Copy of ID document and driver’s licence.
  • Registration Documents.
  • 3 Repair quotes from different service providers
  • Please contact Quicksure so that we can recommend a Quicksure approved Service Provider for the replacement of the glass/windscreen.

  • If applicable, the SAPS case number and the name of the police station where the incident was reported.
  • Proof of ownership of stolen items.
  • Damage Report (if applicable).
  • Proof of forcible entry.
  • Quotations to replace items.
  • Damaged items must be forwarded to Quicksure as salvage.
  • In the case of spectacles/contact lenses we will require a letter stating that there is no cover from or claim against your medical aid.
  • If your cell phone has been stolen, we will require the blacklisting documents.
  • In the case of damage caused by lighting or electricity surge we will require confirmation of any lightening protection / UPS devices.
  • If your cover is subject to a burglar alarm system, we will require an activation and response report from the security company.
  • Please note that should you fax or email the documents to us; we will still require the original documentation before a claim can be finalised.

  • ITC number of the stolen item
  • Proof of ownership of stolen items.
  • Quicksure will appoint a service provider to test damaged items.
  • In the event of a geyser claim please contact the Quicksure claims department as soon as possible. If the event occurs after hours, contact Quicksure Assist on 0861 777 708.
